Imagine if Tyrese Haliburton could get rebounds, or if Draymond could shoot, or if Ben Simmonds could play basketball. It seems a foolish exercise when you could just picture Nikola Jokic. The Denver giant keeps living up to the lofty expectations placed on him by fantasy owners. The uncontested number one fantasy pick and two time mvp has reached greatness once again by combining unbelievable counting stats with great efficiency.

Jokers league leading 13.7 assists per game was a full 3 dimes ahead of the competition (Haliburton). It must be nice to be chucking the rock to the number one 3pt% team in the NBA with KCP, MPJ and Jamal Murray.

He played 2nd to Giannis in rebounds for the week with 16.7 boards per game boosted by to Aaron Gordon missing time, and Deandre Jordan only playing 24 minutes on the week.

Despite struggling from range this week (25% on 4 total attempts) he still managed a nice 69% field goal percentage and a respectable 87% from the line on 5 attempts per game.

He is here to do his job, and that job is winning pickles. So we are delighted to reward Nikola Jokic with his second "Bread" and Butter Pick of the week

Dame is back, but in a new way. After a bit of a pickle hangover, the Portland legend has decided that he will never miss another shot. Providing a league high 6/11 3s per alongside a 92 FT%, he's dialed in and shooting 63% from the field which is a 18 percent improvement over his season average. This has culminated in 127 points in 3 games vastly overshadoing his poor turnovers and the fact he's gone blockless in 9 of his 10 last games. Damians season averages have him ranked 3rd in the league for point guard z-scores, where his FG% and lack of defensive stats have held him back, but for someone who needs points and threes he's a rich mans Tyler Herro.

So despite the regression in Portland, Dame continues to blaze a trail straight towards being the week 15 bread and butter "Pick" of the week.

I’ve been playing basketball a lot longer than some of these people analyzing the game. I’m an actual genius when it comes to this game. If you ask me about basketball, I will talk all day. If you ask me about spacing at the 3:33 mark of the second quarter, I will gladly explain it. I'll tell you what plays worked, about adjustments we make. But when it comes to personal things, or comparing myself to my NBA brothers, like, 'Do you think you are better than this guy?' I'm out.

Some would say that Kyrie Irving's genius is misunderstood. Others would say dangerous. But we can all agree that since the Durant injury Kyrie has feasted on all that delicious usage.

A quick look and we can see that Irving is boosting his Shot attempts by 4 per game, assists by almost 2, and rebounds by 1.5. This has yielded an increased point yield at a minor impact on efficiency. This combined with a return to form of steal numbers and exceptionally low turnovers of the week give the enlightened one a rare flawless pickle where no category has been neglected on the path to greatness. While he no longer has his own shoe he has joined very elite company as the week 14 "Bread" and butter pick of the week

Coming into this season it was a wildcard how Dame would bounce back from his season ending abdomen repair. The 32 year old point guard had been dropping into the second round of fantasy drafts based on an expectation of further regression. The Portland guard has returned to 92% of his 2021-2022 output. On the season he is currently ranked in 3rd per game in both 3pts and FT%. However this week he exploded by hitting all but 2 free throws for the week and had 3 single turnover games while averaging 39 points. This incredible efficiency was more than enough to overcome his weaker than usual counting stats (0 blocks on the week).

While we can only hope that Dame D.O.L.L.A shouts out picklytics on his next album, we are still delighted to confirm him as the 13th bread and butter pick of the week.

71 Points, that is the most points in a single game since Kobe in 2006. It's good enough for 8th in all time single game scoring and top 3 if you exclude Wilt. This single game performance of 71 pts on 7 3pts and 11 assists was enough to elevate an otherwise mediocre week into discussion for the top performer of the week. But this is no slight on Spida as he's continued to mount on his incredible shooting efficiency and 3 point shooting campaign. It looks like he is poised to raise the top 40 rut he's been locked into the last year. Since Joining the Cleveland Cavaliers he has increased he has shown 0.025% increase in both fg% and ft% over last year resulting in a 2.4 ppg increase. These seem like incremental increases but have been enough to to take bring him up to first round value.

71 points is really just incredible, and it is with that in mind we are happy to announch Donovan Mitchell as the Week 12 Bread and Butter Pick of the week.

Free throws are fickle when it comes to player evaluation. A roster has to be built to accommodate a high volume low percentage free throw shooter, and this season a sub 80% free throw shooter has not been able to secure fantasy basketballs most coveted prize.

That is until now. Luka has dragged the Mavericks into relevance again taking 27 field goal attempts and 16 free throws per game. He currently has more points on the season than Christian Wood and Spencer Dinwiddie combined, who are somehow supposed to be the number 2 and 3 options.

With the ball in Lukas hand the Mavs are tied for fewest turnovers per game, Luka ran an AST/TO of 5.3 from his season average of 2.5. This was showcased on New Years Eve vs the Spurs, where Luka dropped a 53pt, 9ast, 0 turnover game. His scoring was augmented by posting a full 10 point fg% increase over his season average as well as doubling his block rate. His putrid <70% is even working for him as he has mastered the art of missing free throws and converting resulting in almost 50 ppg on the week.

Traditionally Luka has shined in points leagues but this season he has a dominant 25% (2027 vs 1787) lead over the 2nd ranked player in standard fantasy points.

Lukas' performance is so dominant that even excluding fg% and total points he still managed to beat out Jokics who went 25/25 from the charity stripe.

The best pickles are the ones that go to legendary performances and this week we would like to say "Howdy" to Luka Doncic the week 11 Bread and butter Pick of the Week.

Jayson Tatum continues his best campaign to date with an explosion of efficient scoring over Christmas week. Capping it with a 41 point performance going 10/10 from the line.

Tatums been showing tremendous value this season as the best fantasy wing in the league. He leads forwards in points and threes this season as well as having the highest points/turnover ratio of any 30+ ppg player. In december he only failed to break 25 points twice and had 6 30+ point games.

Putting Deuce to bed has now become synonmous with closing out the game or in this case securing the second pickle of the year. And with that in mind we congratulate Jayson for completing his deuce to be the week 10 bread and butter Pick of the week.

You're a mean one, Joker Grinch
While Porter has hurt his heel
Your arms are like a cactus
you score like Bradley Beal, Joker Grinch
You're a passing big man who managed 11 steals

Just face the music, multi-cat monster, Joker Grinch, yes, you are
Your stats don't have a hole
Your shots come in volume
dimes and boards out of control, Joker Grinch
you torched the wizards with a forty-three-and-a-half point stroll

You know if you ask the Woz, Shams or Charles
No one's denying

You're the franchise, Joker Grinch
a hundred eight points in a pile
Last season you farmed the pickles
And calmed down for a while, Joker Grinch.
Given the choice I'd like
to make you the week 9 bread and butter pick of the week

Embiid continues his mvp tour this week, bowling through the Lakers, Rockets and Hornets. The man got 130 points this week. His hyper-efficient shooting combined with an incredible 27 FTA per game left the competition scratching their heads on how to stop the big man. In the past 30 days Embiid had only failed to get 30 points once, while boasting an impressive 1.5 steals per game.

While consistency is not evaluated, it is sure appreciated and we are proud to bestow upon Joel Embiid for the 2nd time this season the title of Bread and Butter Pick of the Week

It takes more than a part-time effort to snatch a pickle. This is the first consideration in the picklytics selection process. Part scheduling and part soreness, the clear top fantasy producer of the season has been unable to string together a full weeks work to get proper consideration. Until last week's 4 game performance.

AD rang in december with a 44 and 55 point performance, on over 3 blocks per game!!! The brow has been carrying the Lakers to wins in 8 of 10 of their last games.

It is this dedication and tenacity that leads Anthony Davis to be the week 7 bread and butter Pick of the week.
