A Nets Timeline:
- Durant requested a trade early in the off-season, and the organization began trying to trade fellow superstar Kyrie Irving
- The season started with Durant and Irving on the roster
- Ben Simmonds failed to crack 10 points in a single game before missing the next several due to injury
- After Starting 2-5 Coach Steve Nash was fired and replaced with Former Celtics Coach Ime Udoka currently facing a 1 year suspension
- Hélà (Irving) was then issued a minimum 5 game suspension following pressure from the league and the Anti-defamation league for perceived Antisemitism
While the rest of the world was dealing with all these distractions, Durant thrived with a lack of detractors... from his box score.
Durant has been on a blistering campaign all season, first by setting an ongoing franchise record for consecutive made free throws (32/32),
bombing out 123 points, 35 rebounds, 26 Assists and an uncharacteristic 2 blocks per game. Averaging over 30 ppg, Durant appears to be the only thing between the Nets and the abyss.
Durant is no longer a rider, he is driving the Brooklyn bus right into the ground.
There seems to be little threat to KD's usage, so we could likely see many nods du cornichon in his future.
So much to the delight of the Chaos Gods, Kevin Durant is the week three bread and butter "pick" of the week.
