Embiid comes out of nowhere to swat that pickle from SGAs hands at the last minute.
Embiid posted a simply silly performance yesterday night, where he dropped 59 points with 7 blocks with 19/28 shot attempts. This combined with 20/24 gave us just the silliest fantasy performance of the season. Embiid is seeing an uptick in usage due to injuries to James Harden and a string of weaker 3 point shooting from Tyrese Maxey.
While cutting through the Utah front court of Markkanen, Vanderbuilt, Olynyk and Walker Kesler while dishing out hot feeds, it was impossible to distinguish the big man from a season Mary Brown's Delivery Driver.

So topping off a solid week with a full on family feast, we are happy to declare Joel Embiid the bread and butter pick of the week.

A Nets Timeline:

  • Durant requested a trade early in the off-season, and the organization began trying to trade fellow superstar Kyrie Irving
  • The season started with Durant and Irving on the roster
  • Ben Simmonds failed to crack 10 points in a single game before missing the next several due to injury
  • After Starting 2-5 Coach Steve Nash was fired and replaced with Former Celtics Coach Ime Udoka currently facing a 1 year suspension
  • Hélà (Irving) was then issued a minimum 5 game suspension following pressure from the league and the Anti-defamation league for perceived Antisemitism

While the rest of the world was dealing with all these distractions, Durant thrived with a lack of detractors... from his box score. Durant has been on a blistering campaign all season, first by setting an ongoing franchise record for consecutive made free throws (32/32), bombing out 123 points, 35 rebounds, 26 Assists and an uncharacteristic 2 blocks per game. Averaging over 30 ppg, Durant appears to be the only thing between the Nets and the abyss. Durant is no longer a rider, he is driving the Brooklyn bus right into the ground.

There seems to be little threat to KD's usage, so we could likely see many nods du cornichon in his future. So much to the delight of the Chaos Gods, Kevin Durant is the week three bread and butter "pick" of the week.

When Shai missed the preseason with an MCL, expectations were already being tempered for his 2022-2023 campaign. Having missed significant time over the last 2 seasons and with OKC managements commitment to winning this season being questioned, there were doubts around if SGA would actually play enough games to be worth an early draft pick.

Well this week Shai came and rewarded his believers, and being picked 46th is the 2nd lowest a future pickle player has ever been drafted. SGA averaged 31 points a game on 50% and a flawless 18/18 onfree throws. The stats were there across the board with a spicy 23 rebounds, 16 dimes, 8 steals, and 4 blocks in 3 games. This was rounded out with a modest but acceptable 4 three pointers and 8 Turnovers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the second bread and butter "pick" of the week.
